John Paul

John Paul founded Nextgen Blueprint with his father-in-law, a Lubbock-area general contractor with more than 30 years of experience building and repairing homes on the South Plains. Together they run a design-build company that handles the whole house, from foundation repair on Lubbock clay to kitchens, baths, roofs, and ground-up custom homes.

The company's focus is healthy, durable construction: treating Lubbock's hard water, filtering dust-season air, choosing low-VOC finishes, and planning lighting that works with the day instead of against it. The goal on every job is the same, to build it the way you would build it for your own family.

John writes the Nextgen Blueprint journal to give Lubbock homeowners the numbers and local context contractors usually keep to themselves: what projects actually cost here, what the clay, hail, wind, and water do to a house, and how to compare quotes with confidence.
